My 2020 Wishlist for Boxing By Mike Hills 2020: The Year of Optimism in the Noble Art As we have now begun the next decade in boxing, I believe we have so much to look forward to. 2020 could be a very special year in the Noble Art. Boxing may not hold the same popularity in North America, however, around the rest of the world boxing has never been healthier. We have ever increasing access to fights through various platforms.  There is also more money involved in the Noble Art, so forget naysayers that say boxing is "on its' way out." Fans have been saying this forever. Buy some old copies of the Ring Magazine and you'll see a pattern of negativity that continues in the sport today. Ignore these naysayers, boxing is flourishing and will continue to do so as long as people are willing to enter the squared circle.  When I grew up, it was not always possible to see the fights occurring around the world. Tyson Fury V Deontay Wilder II The fight has been signed, Deontay Wilder will defend his title again against Tyson Fury on February 22nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. This is a joint promotion between Fox/Premier Champions and ESPN/Top Rank.  Making a prediction this far out from the fight can leave me on extremely shaky ground. I don't gamble on boxing. I've only once gambled...and lost. That was in 1990. I won't tell you the fight, but one of my heroes lost badly that night.  Based on their first fight, choosing a winner for Tyson Fury V Deontay Wilder is a two-way pick. If I asked you to stop and make a choice now, I'd expect you to say either Wilder knocks Fury cold or Tyson fiddles his way to a points decision.
